Kiri Joy is 8-1/2 years old and is the only child of Paul and Kimberly Boxmeyer. Her name is derived from the Hebrew word, Kirioth, which means "fortress" or "stronghold". She is indeed a "fortress of joy".
She is being home-schooled and is studing third grade skills. Kiri enjoys learning about history, space and animals.
When she is not practicing her keyboard skills or schoolwork, she enjoys watching many of the PBS television shows or making interesting creative items.
She looks forward, along with her parents, to going to various gas engine shows. There she gets to show off her driving skills on her own tractor, Huffy! This past fall, she even took her own gas engine for display. She then bought another at the show which she and her Papa intend to "rejuvinate" for either the spring swap meet or the summer show.
Recently, she has been working on a robot of her own with Papa. She hopes to compete at Trinity in 2005.
She likes to collect furbies of all kinds. She is hoping to complete her collection of McDonald Furbies someday. She also has a small collection of pumpkins (Gammmy calls her Pumpkin), american flags, pokemon toys and cards, beanie babies and buddies, Barbies and Li'l Bratz dolls.
