This page I built for my 15 year old Appendix Quarter Horse mare named Kira Kiba Sho or Kira for short.  She came to me when she was 3 years old and I trained her myself.  We competed in a local horse show series and came in 3rd for the end of year in the Schooling Hunter division.  She loves people, being ridden, eating, being groomed, eating, running around, eating and did I mention eating???  

Unfortunately she has a foot problem called Navicular disease.  She has special shoes, called bar shoes, that keep her sound and comfortable.  If you want more information on Navicular disease you can go to the following URL's:
